The certificate of conformity of the fire extinguisher has its production date. The scrap years of these three types of fire extinguishers are generally 12 years, 10 years and 6 years respectively. Note: The scrap life of fire extinguishers is subject to local policies. After reaching the time limit, no matter whether the fire extinguisher can still be used or not, it must be put in a designated place for scrapping. Even if the fire extinguisher has not reached the scrap life, once these conditions occur: abnormal pressure, appearance damage, it must be maintained in time.

A fire extinguisher is not an air pump and cannot be refilled privately; it must be done by an annual inspection and maintenance company.
